For over twenty years scientists specializing in bacterial and viral contagions, infections, and illnesses warned doctors and the public of the dangers of overprescribing antibiotics. These scientists feared that the bacteria and viruses would mutate and eventually become immune to antibiotics. Antibiotic cocktails given to cattle over the years added to the concern. And, in recent years (MRSA), a drug resistant form of staphylococuss, and other diseases like Tuberculosis have become an increasing threat to public health.

The internet has opened a whole new frontier and an arena for pedophiles and sex offenders to contact and entice children and teens. New adult websites and chat rooms spring up daily, changing their domain names if shut down, with many of the sites providing still pictures, videos, and contact information which is easily accessed.

Relationships end. Although the resulting emotions are normal, too often the pain, anger, sense of betrayal, and rejection felt by the adults spills over into a desire to strike back. Reaction, driven by raw emotion, replaces rational thought. Unfortunately, too often any children born as a result of the relationship become caught in the crossfire.

We are most insensitive towards those with physical or mental health and developmental exceptionalities, regardless of their age.

Most young children love helping out in the kitchen. Food activities are a good way to strengthen the bond between you and your child. Food activities provide an opportunity for you to have some fun with your child. Fun food activities also provide a vehicle by which you can teach your child about good nutrition. Food activities work well with toddlers, also.
